Hi to all of you, I wanted to firstly thank you all for supporting our petition and helping advocate for inclusive tennis. We have gained a lot of support and now almost have 17K signatures
Kai’s Announcement
As you may of heard I had an accident in a wheelchair tournament, I tipped my wheelchair on its side and landed head first on concrete back in November. I had a massive concussion and couldn’t move much of my legs and arms. I couldn’t walk for the first week and basically had to relearn how to walk (Ps I’m still not 100%).
So I announce that I will give up playing wheelchair tennis.
I loved playing the sport and wanted to be like Dylan but it was challenging coming from a standing player, learning wheelchair.
I thank everyone in the wheelchair community for the past year. Also thanks to @melrosewheelchairs for the lovely wheelchair you made.
Also thank you to my double partners for the past tournaments @_chaseburch_ and Sonny Rennison (@emmajrennison ) thank you for the second places
Now I’ll just focus on main stream & standing adaptive tennis. Hopefully the ITF accepts players with physical disabilities who choose to play standing.
Hopefully us physical disabilities can all tour together and play some events together
Thank you
