SAVE 50M PISTOL as an olympic event

Pierre de Coubertin is turning in his grave over the ISSF proposal to delete 50m rifle and 50m pistol from the Olympic program

The ISSF seem to be doing everything in their power to kill shooting events at the olympic games. Stand strong ISSF. Dont cave in
Make 50m pistol and rifle mixed - add a mixed 25 m event - but dont allow this destruction of matches that are the essence of our sport

I urge everyone to share and flood the ISSF and their local, state and national shooting associations with messages of disapproval

Myself, as an Olympian and 50m pistol shooter at Commonwealth games level, and all eleite level 50m pistol shooters  that I have contacted, are outraged at this decision

I urge all concerned to contact the ISSF and condemn this in the strongest possible terms

If no shooting organisations contact the ISSF with their dissaproval, the ISSF will assume that there is widespread acceptance of this destructive move

It is clear that cartridge guns are slowly but surely being removed from Olympic competition under various guises.

WE cannot stand by and let this happen without a whimper.
