Loktak Lake - Loktak Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Northeast India and is famous for the phumdis floating over it. World's only floating freshwater lake is currently under threat and also a big threat to the Keibul Lamjao National Park, the only floating park in the world (where endanger Sangai Deer live).

Pony horse - The Manipuri pony is a breed of pony developed in India. Manipur gave the world the game of Modern polo, a game derived from the indigenous game called “Sagol Kangjei”, originally played with Manipuri ponies. The death rate among ponies is high and near to extinction. Immediate care is must. 

Sangai Deer - The sangai is an endemic and endangered subspecies of brow-antlered deer found only in Manipur, India. It is also the state animal of Manipur. Its common English name is Manipur brow-antlered deer or Eld's deer and the scientific name is Rucervus eldii eldii.

Sangai was believed to be almost extinct by 1950, but six individuals were spotted in 1953 and the State of Manipur has protected the species to increase the population to 204. Sangai faces threat from steadily degenerating habitat of phumdi as a result of continuous inundation and flooding caused due to artificial reservoir. Water quality of the reservoir is degrading due to pollution and stoppage of nutrient supply. There is also invasion of non-native plants like Paragrass. There has been decrease in area of phumdi from 31.60 km2 in 1993 to 23.72 km2 in 2010.

Sangai also faces threats of diseases from the livestock, inbreeding depression and poaching.
