Hi all.

I met with a representative from Transport NSW along with representatives from the local MP Steve Whan's office and a representative from the NSW transport ministers office.  They were all supportive of a push to improve the safety of the Monaro Highway from wildlife collisions and were open to investigating options.   Transport NSW advised that they had a trial of AI signs that alert drivers when there is wildlife approaching the road.  I am advised that the trial is near Micalago.  I will provide more details of this when I receive them. 

Next steps are to contact the ACT Ministers Office, the Cross Border Commissioner and Kristy McBain MP, NSW minister for Road Safety, and ask for their support hopefully to bring all these departments together to collaborate on making the Monaro Highway safer for travellers and wildlife.
