I have been contacted by a number of concerned residents regarding the lack of safe crossing on the 40 mph main road in Darragh Cross. 

The village is home to many families crossing the road with young children, and lots of pupils who cross the road daily to access school bus services. I am also aware of at least 3 local residents living nearby with visual impairments.

It is very frustrating that DfI have not listened to previous calls from residents for a pedestrian crossing to be installed in the village and the speed limit to be reduced. 

We the undersigned petition the Department for Infrastructure to install a Pedestrian Crossing and introduce a 30 mph speed limit through the village of  Darragh Cross.
