Thank you all so much for supporting this petition. On top of the hundreds of signatures we have revived, we have been featured in some news articles. We also have and contacted Caltrans and received replies from Caltrans through Senator Monique Limón’s office. Caltrans stated “This location has been under investigation by our traffic safety engineers based on collision information and general concern for safe ingress/egress at Santa Lucia Canyon Road. Caltrans has been working with Vandenberg SFB, SBCAG, Lompoc, Federal Prison, and Vandenberg Village regarding this intersection”. This message helps to let us know that we have been heard. There have also been meeting(s) about this topic where the community was asked for their input. Remember, every signature helps keep our roads safe, especially at this dangerous intersection.
