Great news! After many months of persistence and follow-up with key stakeholders, it looks like our efforts are paying off. Thanks to the continued support from all of you—and a special shoutout to fellow signer Brad Troxel—we’ve received confirmation from Cobb DOT that a study of the intersection has been completed and they are currently in the process of designing a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) for the crossing.
This is a major step forward toward improving safety along the Silver Comet Connector. While we still aren’t clear on the exact timeline of this installation, this progress would not have been possible without the more than 500 community members who came together to call for action.
Thank you again for lending your voices to this common-sense safety initiative. I’ll continue to share updates as this project moves forward—together, we’re making the Comet safer for everyone.
