Thank you for your support – next steps

Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared this petition. Since launching it last Friday, we’ve already reached 133 signatures, showing strong local support for a playground in the Blackheath Royal Standard area.

Before starting the petition, I contacted the Royal Borough of Greenwich Parks Team, who said the Council currently does not currently have the resources to install or maintain new play areas. Despite this, it’s clear many local families feel a playground here is needed.

The next step is to take this petition to our ward councillors and ask the Council to explore future funding options and assess whether this area could be considered for play provision.
