Petition updateHelp a Jamaica Plain, MA Local Keep a Shed THEY HAD A PERMIT TO BUILD

"FAST-TRACK" or "STREAMLINED" OR "EXPEDITED" means at least 3 MONTHS to ISD

Jumping through hoops doesn't come as easily to me as some might wish. It turns out that it doesn't matter what was said. Doesn't matter what permits (etc.) were granted. Doesn't matter how I feel or what I want or even what I'm willing to do. What does matter here in Boston is this: The only way for ISD to be protected is to have me go through the whole "Community Process" as if I were asking for permission to build my shed. Which - had I been informed that this was required - I would NEVER HAVE DONE. But... now that the shed is built, I love it. It carries a precious echo of my Dad (I know this sounds odd but it feels true) incredible connection to my daughter, is unusually beautiful and I want to use it. So here (below) is an invitation to come and stand near my already-built-shed and ask questions. After this there's a wait, then a big community zoning board meeting. And after that another waiting period, and after that a meeting of the ZBA at ISD. Can you tell that all I really want right now is to be able to go into my own shed and putz around? Putting things in their place and making things? That's because it is Winter time and my slow work time of the year. By the time this process is over though ... sigh
