Thank you for your support and for signing the petition to demand accountability from the Centerville Public Library Board of Trustees. Unfortunately, we have not seen any meaningful change since we launched the petition, and the silence from the Board and Library Director continues.
Despite the community's outcry and efforts to engage, the Board has refused to respond to emails or provide any clarity on why Megan McClelland, a beloved librarian, was unjustly fired. The lack of communication is allowing harmful speculation to grow, with some in the community wrongly suggesting that her firing was due to an LGBTQIA+ book or inappropriate sexual content. This silence has only deepened the confusion and frustration for the community, and it's clear that the Board is not fulfilling its responsibility to engage with the people it serves.

As a next step, we are calling on all of you to take action. Please consider emailing Rebecca Richardson, President of the Centerville Public Library Board of Trustees, at rfpriverside@comcast.net to express your concerns and demand accountability. The Board has the authority to make change, and they need to hear from us. Alternatively, you can also email vallard@clamsnet.org if you wish to contact the Library Director directly.

We must continue to hold the Board accountable. The community deserves answers, and we will not stop until they are given. Thank you for standing with us and for Megan, who continues to be unfairly silenced.
