Celtic Football Club has reached an out-of-court settlement with a group of survivors of historical child abuse linked to its feeder club, Celtic Boys Club.
This development is significant. Out-of-court settlements are often used to avoid the transparency and scrutiny of a full court trial. While no formal admission of guilt was made, many reasonably view such settlements as a tacit acknowledgement of wrongdoing.
If there was truly no liability, why pay?
The survivors deserve more than silence and secrecy. They deserve justice, accountability, and a full public inquiry to expose the truth and prevent future abuse.
This settlement is not closure — it is fuel for renewed calls for transparency. Celtic Football Club must not be allowed to quietly bury its past with chequebooks.
Please continue to sign, share, and demand a proper inquiry. Justice delayed is justice denied.
