The Issue

The ‘Inhumanbeing’ concept, which fundamentally suggests a state that is contrary or alien to what is typically considered human, has been increasingly explored and promoted in literature, philosophy, psychology, and social criticism in contemporary times. This concept often describes a character displaying extreme cruelty or a complete absence of empathy, which sharply contrasts with the traditional human values of compassion and understanding. It is injurious to our society as it legitimizes inhumane actions and attitudes, which goes against the spirit of empathy and understanding that we intend to nurture within society.

A study by the American Psychological Association indicates a clear link between media consumption and behavior, suggesting that the presence of these 'inhumanbeing' depictions can have actual societal consequences (American Psychological Association, 2017). Given this, we, therefore, call on all media houses, content creators, authors, and philosophers to reconsider the portrayal of these 'inhumanbeing' narratives in their works. We strongly believe in free speech and creativity, but we emphasize the need for responsible content practice that upholds human dignity and compassion.

We cannot sit idle while our society is subtly encouraged to deviate from the traditional human values that have held us together for millennia. Let us embrace media that empowers, educates, and promotes empathy and understanding. Stand against the promotion of the 'Inhumanbeing' concept - a responsible society needs responsible narratives. Please sign this petition to make a positive change in our society.
