Instructions for Public Comment

1) SIGN IN for public comment BEFORE the meeting is adjourned at 5:45. ARRIVE EARLY- 5:30pm at the latest. It is best to sign in for comment even if you are on the fence about speaking. Once 5:45 rolls around, you can’t sign up to speak. You can always “pass” on your comment time.
2) Even if your comments are short, every person’s comments are valuable!
3) Yes! Students, teachers, parents, guardians, alumni, and those connected to TJ are permitted to speak.
4) Public comments are limited to 3 minutes.
5) The goals are two-fold: Get Mr. Maimone back as Headmaster and hold the Board accountable for their egregious actions.
6) Comments are most effective when stated logically and succinctly. Name calling is not permitted. We are not a mob. We are parents, students, and teachers seeking relief for multiple violations of justice.
7) Signs will be available to support Mr. Maimone.
8) After the Public Comment portion (which I expect may take a little while), the Board will continue on with their Agenda. They have a Closed Session planned (one of those private meetings that they frequently have). Please wait until the Board meeting is adjourned to leave. We need as many people as possible to be there until the end to hear anything else the Board has to say before it is adjourned. Keep this in mind if you have children with you.

ABOUT THE GRIEVANCE

I filed an extensive grievance with the Board on Saturday, September 1st. I requested that it be handled by an unbiased source. I am not permitted to publish my grievance at the present time. However, I will let you know that the grievance entailed FIVE violations of the Bylaws, Mission, and Policies of TJCA with several points under each violation. This was just the tip of the iceberg because there were also TWENTY FIVE public record violations. I will amend my grievance as I receive more information.
