Attempt to file grievance with the Board: Please read!!!

Dear Mr. Maxwell,
I requested the grievance forms by email to Mr. Robbins yesterday but I have not received them yet. The website has “restricted access” which should be lifted.
I realize that the Board wishes that the TJCA community would have just assimilated to the Board’s actions after a brief outcry. But the Board is not acting in a manner that is intended to serve the stakeholders. When you basically act in a manner that is similar to “taxation without representation”, we are going to respond to what is unjust. The Board has cloaked itself in secrecy and set itself above the TJCA community by changing Bylaws that exclude employees of the school, recruit Board members that conform to your outlook, revote yourselves in after the 3 year term, and provide no means to the stakeholders for recourse except to form a public petition and file grievances that you want to brush off and ignore. Think about it. How would you respond to a County Commissioner Board that acted similarly? Instead the TJCA Board responds by digging in their heels and purposefully conjuring up a painted picture of me from the imagination of only what one wants another to believe. In Classical Education and philosophy this is known as the straw man fallacy: instead of addressing the issue, attack the messenger with a negative narrative. Likewise, I condemn any reciprocal treatment of the Board in this manner.
Every bit of information I have found has been from searching online documents and deduction from my own reasoning. If one steps back from the situation, it is easy to see what has been going on with the Board...You assumed wrong that the TJCA community is like the sheep in Orwell’s Animal Farm.
For sake of our school, whose mission is to provide the “lost tools of learning”, dispose of the secrecy and restore transparency and accountability to the TJCA School Board immediately. Be responsive to our school community. I have put myself out there publicly, risking public insult, not for any gain or egoism. I want TJCA to prosper and so do the other 643 supporters (there are many others but they are afraid to sign in fear of reprisal).
Sincerely,
Inge Collins, M.D.

I would encourage all parents of students to learn the classical education curriculum along with your students as I have done for may years. I took Latin in high school but never had philosophy or debate (rhetoric). The study of philosophy and rhetoric will help you in all aspects of life as our previous video by one of our graduates noted.
