An official request has been sent to the School Board as follows:
OFFICIAL REQUEST FOR TJCA SCHOOL BOARD AGENDA
August 15, 2018
Dear Mr. Maxwell:
I request that the following be placed on the TJCA School Board agenda for September 4, 2018. If the Board meeting is a different date, consider the request for this different date but it must be for the next regularly scheduled Board meeting in September:
1) Whereas Mr. Joe Maimone resigned effective July 31, 2018 on good terms according to the TJCA School Board Chair;
Whereas, it is the will of the TJCA students and family as noted by overwhelming support of Mr. Joe Maimone as returning to Headmaster by voice, letter, electronic mail, and petition;
Whereas the TJCA School Board has not acted with the best interests of the students in mind;
Resolved, that the parents and students of Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy urge the TJCA School Board to prove that the resignation of Mr. Maimone was voluntary by offering his position back as Headmaster immediately.
If the TJCA School Board refuses this resolution, then the parents and students of Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy urge a vote on the matter within 30 (thirty) days at both campuses.
