Peter Lim, Get out Quick!

Peter Lim, Get out Quick!
The Issue
To the management of Valencia CF,
We have been a group of loyal Valencia fans supporting the club for somehow more than a decade. We are totally disappointed and furious to your current notorious players transfer policy. The sale of our home town grown star striker Paco Alcácer is really ridiculous and non-sense in light of the current financial situation of the club after some substantial sales like Shkodran Mustafi and André Gomes. At least Paco Alcácer is the current icon of the club and the new replacement is deemed surplus from requirement of a rival club and it is not expected we can rely on him to fight for earning upper-table finish.
During these two years, the new investor has injected fund and settled all debts. It brought hopes to many Valencia fans that the glorious age is coming after the shining start of 2014/15 season. However, after 2015/16 season, it seems the club has been ruined again after some jokes made from club owner’s friend Gary Neville. The new stadium, Nou Mestalla, is still on the table and no progress has been made until now. As a close partner of Jorge Mendes, Peter Lim, the owner of Valencia has strong influence in recent several transfer operations. We understand players brought in and out are common actions in modern football in order to adapt the club’s tactics and balance the accounting books. The ultimate objective should also bring good results to the club. Previous purchases of Jorge Mendes client players have already wasted substantial sum of money especially investing some flop players like João Cancelo, Aymen Abdennour and Rodrigo. It seems the club keeps looping this for trying to gain substantial money from transfer market with sacrifice of result, club culture and fans support.
If the likes of Jorge Mendes’ clients say Sidnei, Ezequiel Garay and Radamel Falcao finally joined Valencia CF for substantial transfer fees again before the close of transfer window, we would seriously consider whether we should still continue supporting the club devotedly as it is no longer Valencia CF but Jorge Mendes CF. We understand Peter Lim is a successful businessman, but it does not mean you are a successful club owner to run a football club especially you have already lost trust from us. Football is not only a business for earning money, but also shows the sports spirit and the determination to fight that all fans are eager to watch. We sincerely hope Peter Lim and your management should take serious consideration of your fans’ concern and respond us with remedial measures.
Yours faithfully,
