We are trying to convince the Indonesian Government to import bamboo from neighboring countries. With this, we will stop deforestation of the Sumatran Rain Forest and we will decrease the amount of habitat loss. As a result, the population of the Sumatran orangutans would rise from their endangered species status. Sumatran orangutans are very important to our environment because they help with fruit seed dispersal when they excrete waste. This plants more fruit trees which give more fruit and oxygen.
