The problem you, your families, your friends, and Indianapolis business owners and managers face is the destruction of the history, character, safety, and quality of life of your Indianapolis neighborhoods, the loss of hundreds of free curb side parking spaces in your neighborhoods at an expense of millions of dollars to you the taxpayer, lowered property values, negative economic impacts to business firms, the potential loss of beneficial curbside trees or landscaping, and most importantly your control of what occurs in your very own neighborhoods.  This is all happening due to the installation of "Blue Indy" electric car charging stations popping up all over the City like weeds and without notification to homeowners and business enterprises.

Mayor Greg Ballard illegally awarded a French-owned company a 15 year agreement allowing the company to operate an electric car "sharing" monopoly- "Blue Indy"- on hundreds of your prime public parking spaces at a vast expense to you, the taxpayers. Who says Blue Indy is illegal?

Counsel to the Indianapolis City-County Council says Blue Indy is illegal. The Council's attorney explained more than one time to the Councilors the many civil laws and criminal laws broken by Mr. Ballard and his Administration regarding the Blue Indy deal.  Indianapolis residents want to know why our City-County Councilors will not Stop Blue Indy NOW.  Instead of asking for an emergency hearing for an injunction to Stop Blue Indy NOW our Councilors are working furtively to "make the illegal legal".  Our career City-County Councilors must smell money as they work to change the argument from a law-breaking illegal contract award by the Mayor to the false resolution of "franchise fees".  Why will our Councilors not heed us when we contact them with more than "there's nothing we can do"?  When the Mayor will not follow the law, the Council must take decisive, effective action and, if necessary, force the Mayor to obey the law.

Your signature on this petition demands that the City-County Council act and act appropriately in voiding the entire illegal 15 year contract with the French company Bollore. The Council must Stop Blue Indy NOW by demanding and effecting complete abrogation of the illegal Blue Indy contract and the removal of all the illegal charging stations for the Blue Indy car electric motors powered by 30 kWh lithium batteries.
