Allow authorized students to have emotional support dogs

Allow authorized students to have emotional support dogs

The Issue

The transition from high school to college can take a major toll on some students. Students suffer from stress, depression, and anxiety because of difficult classes, and homesickness. Most college students struggle to find a complete balance between sleep, academics, and being social. I happen to be one of the students that I am talking about. Having a dog in ones life is actually proven to make one happier and less stressed. Dogs can even be served as medication for some. I believe that letting approved students have emotional support dogs can help students be less stressed, and be more manageable of their busy schedules in college.
