We got placed with two kiddos in December. They’ve been in the foster care system for going on three years now!!
In the process DCS has purposely withheld important medical information, lied to us about the level of care they needed (CANS), told us wrong diagnosis’s.
I personally feel as though they lied to us because they thought if they told us the truth, we wouldn’t have taken the kids.
I’ve been fighting for these kids since day one and keep hitting road blocks after road blocks because of DCS.
Now my Foster Daughter needs serious mental help. She has tried to kill herself three times. I have always brought her to a crisis center and the ER. But when I talk to DCS, they literally say, “I’m glad she’s calmed down now”.
she has not received the proper care for about three years.
Both of my foster children of been neglected by DCS, and that needs to changed.
what they are doing is criminal negligence! And they blame it on everyone else!
please help us change the system!
