Today, I learned about Indiana House Bill 1473, a law specifically providing compensation to Keith Cooper for his years of wrongful incarceration: $350,000. I have stayed away from commenting on what Keith should be compensated because I haven't endured what he has, and any future settlement is for him and his lawyer to decide. However, as his lawyer has noted, this bill can show the level of support for Keith's pardon in the state house of representatives. Therefore, we are asking Indiana residents particularly to contact their state representatives in support of H.B. 1473. Indiana has 100 state representatives.
