Friends,
The last 18 hours have been a real kick to the head in this effort. For those of you supporting us from outside of Indiana, Curtis Hill has won his campaign to be the state's Attorney General. As for Governor Pence, well, you know what happened.
There are two things I think we may have going for us. In ways not manifested before, I think the national press are going to want to examine Pence's record. I've reached out again to a reporter I've tried before, and maybe have made some progress.
The other thing we've got going for us is that even though it was a weak pledge, the new Indiana governor-elect did pledge to pardon Keith Cooper. We are going to keep him to that pledge. But he can't do so until he is in office, and that's months away. Besides, why should Pence get away without the consequence of national attention to what he has been doing to Keith Cooper?
I have an easy strategy today: Share this petition five times today. You may share it on Facebook. You may share it on Twitter and on any other social media platform. I will ask that you share it on one page particularly. Let's see if we can now get the attention of NPR Code Switch. Please post a link somewhere on their page, as a comment or a regular post. Somebody's gonna pay attention: https://www.facebook.com/NPRCodeSwitch/
Doing that is enough for today. We'll regroup and press forward.
Thank you for your help.
Jack Heller
