Friends,
I appreciate the coverage that Keith Cooper's case has had from the Columbus (OH) Dispatch and the Red Letter Christians blog site. See the previous update for links if you'd like to read those articles.
I recently asked you all for suggestions, and I am working on those. Thank you.
Last Monday, I wrote an editorial which I sent to every large and regional newspaper in Indiana. So far, not a single newspaper has printed it. For now, I am going to keep its text to myself because I want to offer it to a few major websites.
Meanwhile, if you live in Indiana, I want to encourage you to help with a new strategy: Would you please write a letter to the editors of your local newspapers in support of Keith Cooper's pardon. A letter to the Fort Wayne newspaper has encouraged the only politician so far to support this effort, state representative Dave Ober, to write a letter to Governor Pence. The Fort Wayne newspaper and every newspaper in Indiana can use more people writing in support of Cooper.
People who have recently signed the petition may not have seen that a few helpers and I believe we have found why Pence has not pardoned Cooper. https://www.change.org/p/indiana-governor-pardon-an-innocent-man/u/17703065 A case can be made for pardoning Cooper without mentioning Curtis Hill, but it may also help to note that the candidate for Attorney General has been involved in this case. You may call upon him to support a pardon.
If you live outside of Indiana, please share the petition and post links to it on the Facebook and Twitter sites for Mike Pence and Curtis Hill. Flooding the comment sections of Pence's FB postings with links about Keith Cooper helps keep attention on Pence's inaction. \
Thank you all for your help.
