We are going through a phase, a phase of immense hardship and turmoil. Everyone is sacrificing something or the other to protect themselves from the pandemic that is haunting our world- "COVID-19".

There has been a surge once again in the number of positive cases of this disease in India. About 24000+(and counting) people have been affected & many die by the day. With the lockdown already enforced and the uncertainty for the future in our minds, this petition is regarding all the CA students who have been preparing for their exams to be held on 19th June 2020 - 4rd July 2020. On an estimate, about 1,50,000 students will  write their exams in this time period all over India. 

Keeping the present situation in mind, it would be unfair on students and the public at large, if these exams are conducted. It would endanger the lives of students across all states by exposing them to the virus. We cannot afford such gatherings of so many students in each and every city of our country, that too for such a long period of time. 

These exams were originally scheduled to be held from the 1st week of May. Unfortunately, it seems that postponement was not the solution.

We hereby urge and appeal ICAI to be sensitive in these desperate times and cancel the June,2020 exams keeping the bigger picture in their minds, which is and will always be "Public Interest".
