In July 2016, two medical students from Chennai filmed themselves throwing a puppy, Bhandra, off a terrace. Blue Cross rescue found and saved the puppy. The student in the video is Gautam S, a final year MBBS student from Madha medical college.

We are extremely disappointed and it's a 'Black Day' for Animal Welfare in India," Mr Krishnan posted on his Facebook page.

The only just action would be to ban these students from practising medicine or any other vocation requiring a moral compass, as well as following the law and applying the 5 year jail with a clear black mark on their criminal records.
