In the West we have never witnessed the kind of spirits Kashmir has. This man was 91 at the time of his passing . Whether we believe in his cause or not, I know that he spent his whole life supporting a cause he believed it. India may have many issues about anyone talking about him but we'd like to pay out respects to a man who sacrificed everything for his people. He must have been placed under house arrest a million times. I've lost count.

For those who don't know, India promised Kashmir a referendum on the 1940s. They then broke that promise and spent billions on the resulting disenchantment.

In life there maybe conflict, in death, in the day of judgement, no one can say Gilani did not do all be could for his people. May Allah take care of him now that he's finally free. May be rest in peace.
