I am writing an update after a long time. The last almost one year was spent fighting for my son, to correct the wrong being done to him. This Indian justice system is known to be slow due to the volumes it handles. On top of it there is a bias towards women. The fight was not just in court but with a society which just assumes that women are always the victim.
Finally in April, the High Court in Karnataka passed the judgement in my case. The Hon'ble judge ordered my son to be repatriated back to me immediately after the COVID-19 situation settles down.
Unfortunately the responded mother became more vindictive at the judgement and decided to punish me and my 3 year old child further. We had continued our bond over video chat for the past one year. We would play with lego, sing, cook, jump and run all on video. But as soon as the order came out the mother stopped all video communication with my son.
The struggle will end only when I am able to get my son back in my arms. Hold his hand and walk with him in the parks, teach him how to ride a bicycle, play guitar, tell him stories at night before bed. Till then it continues....
