Hi everyone,

I just wanted to provide you with an update on how my meeting went with Woolworths.

Today I met with Bryan from the packaging division and Naomi from the diversity and inclusion division of Woolworths.

I shared how important accessible packaging is to our community and stressed the need for them to create accessible packaging. I also gave them an indication of which items are generally harder to open and needs change. I urged them to even consider making things like the supermarket landscape, trolleys, and shelves more accessible and inclusive.

They both agreed with me and said they would consider my ideas and suggestions. They are forming an accessible action plan and will be holding focus groups to involve more consumer engagement in their goal to increase accessible packaging/ accessibility in the coming months. I will update you once I have more information on how and when you can be involved in these focus groups.
