Hi guys,

My meeting with Coles Supermarkets went well today. I shared my story with them and made some suggestions for them to consider. I am happy with how things went.

The Coles representatives were very nice and they have shared my ideas with senior executives from their accessible committee. And they'd said they'd deeply consider my ideas. If they implement some of my suggestions, it could be a game changer.

Some of the urgent recommendations I made was for them to work with consumers with (a variety of impairments) disabilities and the elderly to receive ongoing feedback regarding packaging and how to make it accessible for them.

I encouraged them to speak with their brands about prioritising accessibility in their packaging and including accessibility in product standards too.

I asked them to work towards creating signs that products are accessible. I'm looking forward to seeing how Coles goes forward in implementing these ideas. I hope to hear back from Woolworths too.
