I have forwarded a message to AHS, unfortunately no one was available to talk to directly. I’ll update as I hear back.

Hello,
I wanted to touch base as I have started a petition within Lloydminster to get proper medical facilities and our needs met. As a patient, someone concerned for my community, our children, and a 911 dispatcher/call taker, there is a huge need for more Healthcare resources within the City of Lloydminster.
I would like to know, does Alberta fund or support the hospital on the Sask side in anyway?
What has AHS done for our community that has grown (double) since the original hospital was being built.
I have a multitude of stories from many community members as well, some positive but overall majority are extremely negative - even complaints going so far as the lack of treatment within the hospital causing death.
How do we address this? And if AHS is not funding the hospital, how do we get more funding and potentially more resources or a 24/7 non emergent care facility at the very least?
How do we make this change for the people here as well as the medical staff that suffer daily?
I’ve attached my petition as well for your interest. I will also be speaking with Sask Health Authority, a local doctor in town, Sask MLA Colleen Young, local news, and any one of the individuals that have felt negatively affected by the healthcare services here.
Please contact me in some way - I don’t mind a phone call but I would like a response in writing for my records as well as to share with my community.
