Great News: Theresa May is considering implementing new legislation that would see dad's get 4 weeks paternity leave paid at 90% of their salary and a further 8 weeks leave at a standard flat rate.
We need to put the pressure on the Government to implement this before Theresa May steps down. Please will you write to the business secretary, Greg Clark MP to show your support?

Dear Greg Clark MP,
I believe increasing paternity leave to 6 weeks at 90% of salary so that it is equal to maternity leave will have enormous benefits for families and the economy. Studies show that involved dads raise happier and healthier children, who have improved learning outcomes. Paternity leave has a direct impact on a child’s performance in secondary school. To create a society where equality thrives, we first need equality in a home environment. We will never achieve that while our legislation favours only mothers caring for their offspring over fathers. Increasing paternity leave and giving dads 90% of their salary will decrease the gender pay gap and will improve the wellbeing of families in the UK.
Yours Sincerely,
[your name]
