The Reserve Bank tells us that $500 in 1990 has lost so much buying power that you now need $1,169.93 to achieve the same result.

The State Government has happily let our vulnerable Senior citizens spend more and more of their limited personal funds to ensure they have basic security in their homes. 

It is time for the State Government to return to the level of care it showed in 1990 by increasing this funding to a level that restores its buying power.
