It's a joke - you have to be there by 7 to ensure a parking space, which is impossible when you have kid drop beforehand. It gets worse every week and will only continue to do so as thousands more people build homes and move to the area. How can the government plan all of this new development and also encourage people to use public transport but not provide basic and sufficient parking. Idiots. It is disgraceful that the state and local governments have not planned correctly for the growth corridor of South Western Sydney and send police and council rangers out to fine hard working people with no option but to park in no stopping or no parking areas. This is day light robbery. With the vast amounts of construction to come, all the tradies will get prime parking while the rest of us will continue to be fined to (one would assume) partially fund the building of appropriate parking facilities. Parking at Edmondson Park and surrounding stations (including Glenfield) is inadequate to the area's population. If you arrive at the station after 7:30am, you are lucky to get a parking spot. For families reliant on childcare that does not open until 7am, this is particularly challenging, as well as for anyone with a late start or a short distance to travel. JLK Bardia

My first time driving through Edmondson Park station today, Was shocked to see the cars parked so far from the station in all directions, looked like a 3rd world situation with cars in tall grass ditches and verges. no money for car parks but billions to knock down parra stadium, anz stadium and allianze stadium and rebuild the same size stadiums with our money.

The inadequate carpark and foresight of the impact of over 1200 dwellings in the area is ridiculous. Same thing happened at Holsworthy and more money was spent adding levels rather than if the project was done right in the first place. The area is in desperate need for further car parks. People are parking so far away from the station it’s ridiculous. I don’t personally use the station but I drive past everyday and it’s also not safe having cars parked where they shouldn’t be along the road. MM Sydney

It is ridiculous the parking situation at Edmondson Park. You have a high developing area with minimal parking to accomodate the growing area. The planning of the parking at Edmondson park has been poorly planned and needs to be rectified immediately. The amount of houses which are constantly being being built with the population growing needs to be taken into consideration. I suggest you take this petition seriously as the community at large are being affected which creates more angry commuters. JK Baulkham Hills
