City Council reconsiders their own final vote.

A final vote sometimes isn't so final.

On Feb 8th, 2022 the Monroe City Council voted (4-3) to reconsider their unanimous denial of the Willoughby Park rezoning from only a month earlier. This is means the rezoning will be up for approval at the March City Council meeting. The reason given for requesting this second vote was that the developer decided to make significant changes.

Reconsideration is something that City Council can do, but the UDO should send the changes back to a public hearing at planning board first.These changes will not be reviewed by the citizens until just before the (second) final vote by City Council.
