Here's ANOTHER UGLy and POTENTIALLY COSTLY condo trend!

Hi everyone! Earlier today I sent a newsletter related to the practice of condo boards, managers, lawyers and other condo industry insiders “redacting” information from our condo minutes and other documents. Supposedly the practice of removing, eliminating, doctoring, sanitizing, non-disclosing, covering up, (etc. etc.) is taking hold as the above groups claim that releasing certain information would violate the Privacy Act and/or “because it’s gone legal”. That is nonsense and it’s a dodge! Our Alberta Condo Act Team DOES NOT WANT ANY CONDO RELATED INFORMATION on EVENTS, ISSUES, ACTIONS or DECISIONS arbitrarily removed from our condo documents by condo boards or anyone else. Our condo minutes and documents are meant to be TRUTHFUL and COMPLETE histories of our condo corporations/complexes. Premier Rachel Notley, Service Alberta Minister Stephanie McLean, and elected MLA’s CANNOT ALLOW condo boards and other insiders to conduct this practice so we need to get our opposition cards and letters going to them on this topic.
