A local mother, educational consultant and years-long clean water advocate for Florence is asking for community input regarding the severity of water quality issues in our area.
Jamie Matthews created this petition to spread awareness regarding the ongoing water discoloration issues when she began having brown sediment in her daughter's bath water. “After years of hydrant flushing and blame shifting by city officials, the citizens need answers and to see forward movement in the right direction”, she states.
Russell Frye’s office released that $40 million are earmarked for water issues and infrastructure in Florence. We as a community would appreciate a statement regarding the allocation and timeline for next steps, as well as a water quality report on the water throughout the county.
Katie Barnes, Jamie's neighbor and recent transplant from Texas created a survey to collect data regarding the widespread water concerns.
