Great news for our school zone pedestrian crossing visibility petition!  I spoke with our State Assemblymember's staff again today, and the update is a traffic study will be done at the Manville/Academy intersection in the next few weeks (mid to late May).  Engineers from NY State Department of Transportation will be studying the intersection and the expectation is that recommendations will be made by the end of June.

They are aware of our petition (that's what got their attention!) and understand a traffic beacon is requested.  Based off of the study's findings it may be a light, and/or it may be other measures to help improve visibility and make the crossing safer for children.
