54 hours.
That's how long Hoboken station has been delayed due to a switch issue. PATH has yet to identify the root cause of these issues, despite having 2 complete days to work on this.
Just unacceptable. There's no shorter way to say it, and no sweeter way. Nothing about this system has been great over this past week, and it feels as if nothing will improve.
I'm simply so disappointed, annoyed, and in shock that PATH doesn't just at least suspend service in/out of Hoboken station. And why they run HOB-33 service if it'll be delayed anyways. And why NWK-WTC is every 20 minutes when it could well be 10 minutes if the JSQ-33vHOB line can be just as fast. WTC is no longer a terminal on the weekends. It picks up hundreds of passengers with almost no chance of having a seat on a train because PATH is too negligent to prioritize passengers over money. Only a minute after the train gets in the station, it immediately leaves. A terminal is where a train terminates, where it stays for, well, more than one minute.
And I'm speaking from experience, I was at the Apple Store yesterday at 8:30 PM to pick up and bring home over $2K worth of tech. Why was that mentioned? Not to only flex, but because I felt as if I would have gotten mugged with the amount of people in that single train.
After 54 hours of Hoboken station delays and jetpacked trains on weekends, PATH has yet to visibly make ANY progress to the issues at Hoboken station.
Truly unbelievable.
