Thanks again for signing the petition. I have created a mock-up of a possible bike network that the City can build first, then expand later. I wanted this to be used in my presentation to City Council (which does not have a concrete date, but I have put my name in).
This rendition is unlikely to be perfect, which is where you come in! You should be able to post a comment under this update, then you can tell me where you'd like this map to be improved. Keep in mind that this would likely be a start for the City, so tell me the areas that are most important for you to get where you need to go.
Hopefully the City can use some (if not, most) of this design, then expansion can come later. To start, there should be a bit more of a 'skeleton' of the bike network, which then can be filled-in with time.
Please let me know where you'd like to see improvements. Remember: this is only a mock-up to help the City visualize where these paths should go. None of these are final; but it would help aid my case for consistent, safe, protected bike routes on main routes first. I look forward to what you have to say!
