Sherin Nasri Abu Aqla (born 1971 in Jerusalem – martyred on May 11, 2022 in Jenin camp at the age of 51) is a Palestinian journalist working for Al-Jazeera Media Network.
The origin of Shireen Abu Aqla dates back to Bethlehem city but she was born and raised in Jerusalem, but the religion of Shireen is a Christian family
She finished her high school at the Rose Nun School in Beit Hanina
At first she studied architecture at the University of Science and Technology in Jordan, then she moved to major in written journalism, and earned a bachelor's degree from Yarmouk University in Jordan.
After graduating she returned to Palestine and worked at several sites such as Unwarwa, Voice of Palestine, Amman Space Channel, Miftah Foundation, and Radio Mont Carlo and later she moved to work in 1997 with Al Jazeera Space Channel until she was shot by the Israeli army this morning
