A victory for bees and a victory to community over industry. I’m so happy wisdom has prevailed and Victoria will no longer be accepting potentially infected hives from NSW.

Congratulations to the decision makers and everyone involved. We really welcome the backflip and hope we can rid Australia of Varroa Mite.

Agriculture Victoria has announced that they will not allow any honey bees to enter Victoria from NSW.

Any bee hives from Queensland or South Australia will be required to conduct alcohol washes on a percentage of their hives before being granted entry to Victoria.
