After all the local beekeepers bees are pollinating the local food grown in the area.

A lot of beekeepers were devastated by the fires so supply is down. Those beekeepers who were not effected by drought and fires are harvesting honey now.
Please try to support your local beekeeper and remember local honey has special benefits because it contains local pollens and has not been heated.
