In bushfires and drought affected areas some bees maybe desperate for water and nutrients.

Please put water out for bees.

Please do not open feed honey or sugar to bees.

Outside feeding of sugar and honey can encourage bees to rob and can lead to disease. Feeding honey outside to bees and animals is illegal in Australia because it is a Biosecurity risk.

Flowers are the best food for bees.

Bees at times do forage on nectar of fruit.

Putting watermelon out for honeybees is very kind and would give the bees great relief.

Please donate to beekeepers effected by the fires .

There are now beekeepers in three states that have requested assistance and there will be allot more.

It breaks our heart to see hectares upon hectares burning, the loss of lives and property and our beautiful bush. And we are in awe of the efforts of the firefighters.

There are many ways to help in this enormous disaster , ours is to try to get those beekeepers affected back on their feet.

Eventually beekeepers will be crucial to regenerate what has been lost through pollination.
