A few days I was made aware a swarm of bees at Edwardstown Primary SA was exterminated. The children were aware of the swarm and the school believed the bees were going to be saved. A few of the kids are traumatised because of the killing which is apparently a policy of South Australia’s board of education.  @mademoisellebee06 lives only a few minutes from the school and could easily have saved the bees.  Yesterday I was called out to Boneo Primary School and @embodybee rehomed these bees to the delight of students and teachers.

Please help me encourage the south Australian board of education to change their policy and to stop exterminating bees.

“The reason I am not wearing a veil is becuase it is much harder to see and move with it on. This makes me much more clumsy and I am not able to be as sensitive and attentive for my work. Moving fast and careless fully suited up in a bee suit could be a lot more dangerous for me and those around me. I have experience with this method and by no means am I telling anyone to do the same. Intuition and experience is really important when working with insects and animals.“

To find your local beekeeper to help save the bees you can download the bee the cure app. Or go to www.swarmpatrol.com
