Kim Fewster Fewsters Farm Honey please support Australian Beekeepers. “There is something seriously wrong or corrupt when an entire industry is facing going out of business due to very suspicious / low priced "honey" being imported into Canada and Australia When are the beekeepers of my country and Canada going to stand up and demand testing of all imported honey , country of origin and a dumping duty applied . Australia imports millions of dollars worth of products and vehicles from South Korea with little or no tariff. For my honey to enter South Korea it is subject to a 240% tarriff / tax Please tell me we Australians are not bloody stupid or unable to negotiate a fair trading agreement The consumer needs to have confidence in the product they are buying is safe and not adulterated with sugar / glucose Does not contain very harmfull chemical residue If you the customer suspect the honey you purchase is suspicious please take to your local department of Agriculture and food for analysis We must restore confidence in out wonderful Australian honey , unfortunately every one I have spoken to in Dubai has commented on how cheap Australian honey is and is affecting there prices How can Australian honey be cheap when up to last year there was a shortage of Australian honey , low production and reported 10000 tonne imported to fill LOCAL demand Suppliers to Capilano and other importers stand up and demand the end of imported honey , you have the power to not deliver unless your demands are met”
