Firstly, a massive apology for being absent of late.
We have just surpassed 6,500 signatures!!!!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and all other people impacted by hip dysplasia for taking the time to support the petition - for every like, comment, share and message. I do read them all.
This is not a preventable condition yet scanning babies could result in those effected being treated as babies and reducing the number of people needing multiple complex surgeries significantly. I hope we can try and instill come change to help the next generations avoid the years of pain, misery and surgery that so many people including me have experienced.
A little update on the statistics as well. The new research from The International Hip Dysplasia Institute suggests 9 out of 10 cases of hip dysplasia are only diagnosed during adolescence or adulthood and is the most common cause of hip arthritis in women younger than fifty, and the reason for 20% of all total hip replacements in the USA (this is an increase from 5-10% as previously disclosed in previous research).
It would be fantastic if you could all continue your support to raise the awareness of the petition and the campaign.
THANK YOU ALL SOOOOOOO MUCH <3
