The town got LOUD! We didn’t want any more of our kids getting hurt and drew the line. Samaritans volunteered their time to cross the town’s kids to safety. Multiple people submitted reports to INDOT. INDOT directed parents to the school board. The town council submitted requests for crosswalk funding. Our town Marshall appeared at town council, on the school board’s behalf, with their update on January 29th. Everyone stepped up, and an unresolved safety issue is now going to be resolved on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024. The elementary school will be running dedicated bus stops for the kids’ safety, moving forward. It’s amazing what a small town can do!
