India’s large population puts pressure on resources such as food, water, housing, education, healthcare, and employment. Population stabilization should focus on voluntary family planning, better education, women’s empowerment, delayed marriage, and access to affordable healthcare and contraception. Instead of coercive measures, awareness and incentives can encourage families to make informed decisions about the size of their families. A balanced approach can help improve the quality of life while supporting India’s long-term economic and environmental development.
