In response to the transphobic article written by Dr Stuart Waiton, (Senior Lecturer in the Division of Sociology at Abertay University), and published in the Herald Scotland on 29th September 2018, we aim for Abertay University to update their bullying and harassment policy to make any further complaints relating to direct discrimination on campus, zero-tolerance (zero-tolerance means that every complaint raised in regard to the bullying policy will have to be brought up at disciplinary hearing). We would also like to have the university implement transgender awareness training for staff.
