Congratulations for being part of the change

In May this year, you signed our petition to show your support for our proposal to the government to investigate a nationwide refill/reuse system for beverage containers.

This week the Ministry for the Environment (MfE) announced that it will run a procurement process in the new year (from 16 January) for a project that will look into options for refillable beverage container system/s in New Zealand.
 
While MfE is still remaining tight-lipped on the outcomes of the submissions to the proposed Container Return Scheme, this is a very positive indication that our proposal and petition for a national-scale refillable beverage container system or systems is being seriously considered.
